We have catered events featuring up to 1,000 people … plus.

We will set a buffet up for 35 or more (except for the pasta bar, we have a 50-person minimum) and we can also do drop-offs and pickups depending on the nature of your event.

Chef Dan (Lunning) is the lead contact for all professional catering events, however, you can reach out to any manager and they can collect your information to pass along for quoting purposes and availability.

The sooner the better for booking a party as dates can fill quickly through the course of the year. Two weeks prior to the event is appreciated for guest confirmation.

Yes, $300.00. This fee holds your date. It is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. And, the down payment deduction is reflected on your final invoice.

Yes, our famous pasta bar is something that is both different and unique. Your guests will enjoy this incredible dining experience! We also offer a wide range of themed meals.

Yes. We can do tastings for up to four guests in our conference room. We’ll provide the options, and you select menu items and the time to meet. We also host tastings for the pasta bar weekly on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm at Nelson Bros. Restaurant in Clearwater.

We offer complimentary travel within 30 miles of the Clearwater Travel Plaza. Beyond that range, we’ll discuss a service fee dependent upon your location. We proudly service all of Central Minnesota as well as the metro Twin Cities area.

It’s not part of our current menu offerings, but might be a consideration in the future!

Of course. That service typically includes a small upcharge to compensate for additional staff needed.

You are welcome to whatever is leftover on the buffet table at the end of the event (except for the pasta bar) as long as the food will go into proper cold storage immediately. Otherwise, leftover food will be under the discretion of the food manager.

We have an industry standard of 18% included for all professional catering events.

No, we are not set up for offsite liquor catering, however, we would be happy to recommend preferred liquor vendors we work with if you’d like a referral.

Yes, once you have confirmed Cutting Edge Catering as your event specialist, we will meet you at the destination for a logistics and planning discussion.

Due to staff, prep, time, and amount of food prepared, the cost stays the same. Again, you are welcome to the leftovers!

We’d add-on to the original invoice to accommodate a bigger guest list that requires additional menu items and staff. For event planning, it is important to pad the headcount just a little to ensure no shortages occur.

We started in 2010. We are owned and operated under Nelson Bros. at Clearwater Travel Plaza in Clearwater, MN, which has roots dating back to the 1970’s!

Yes. We were runner up in the Caterer category for “BEST OF” Central MN two years running and have won awards from “Wing Fest Champions” two years in a row as well. In 2010, we were named Best Food at the Central Minnesota March of Dimes Chef’s Auction.
